Effect of Non-Convective Zone Thickness on Thermal Efficiency of Salt Gradient Solar Ponds

چکیده
An improved radiation transmission and thermal efficiency model for solar ponds has been proposed based on both the Hull Model Wang/Seyed-Yagoobi in this paper. The new is more accurate to actual measured conditions because multiple reflections turbidity effects are included. Absorption penetration, conductivity loss under different Non-Convective Zone thicknesses numerically analyzed thoroughly discussed. results show that ΔT/I0 plays a critical role of pond. Furthermore, it found through calculation there an optimum thickness Zone. When less than threshold, temperature decreased with increasing turbidity. However, when greater within certain range will be beneficial improve In addition, also related temperature, turbidity, salinity variation bottom reflectivity.

The main problemswith the use of fossil fuels is the restrictions on their access and the detrimental consequences of their use which causes a threat to human health and quality of life. Consequently, the use of other energy sources has become necessary. Renewable Energy as a permanent and clean energy source is an answer to this problem. One such energy source includes photovoltaic solar energ...
